Your Child's First Visit

Our office recognizes that your child's first dental visit will leave a lasting impression. It is very important that your child's first encounter with a dentist be a positive experience. Children should be scheduled for an examination appointment at 2½ - 3 years of age. We highly recommend early morning appointments while your son or daughter is alert and attentive.

Our goal is to introduce the staff, office and surroundings in a positive, fun-filled approach (we have Mr. Thirsty and the tooth tickler, etc.) We know that we will never get another opportunity at a first impression. Parents are invited to be with their child for this initial appointment. Your son or daughter will not be pressured to receive a preset protocol, but only the procedures that they are comfortable with. We know that every child is different, and that it takes time to develop a warm, trusting relationship between your son or daughter and the dental professionals.
